A place where the love for UK Garage, House and hip-hop meets in the night. Alter Ego is the party for a new generation of ravers and creators who want to escape from themselves and dance everything away from themselves.
Local hero Wantigga invites the best selectors every edition. For this first edition, he has none other than Passion Deez as headliner.
Passion Deez
From sets at Boiler Room to Keep Hush, and from shows at Lowlands to Wildeburg, Passion Deez brings a high-energy mix of garage, jungle, grime and percussive riddims. Having grown up in London, these influences are evident in his sets. Expect a closer where standing still is not an option — DEEZ ends the evening in style.
Abiba
The second name on the lineup is Abiba. Based on her broad musical upbringing, she wants to break the lack of diversity on the dance floor. In 2025, she was seen at Garage Noord and Lofi, among others, where she surprised the floor with a sharp track selection full of syncopation, deep bass lines and polyrhythms. She also explores the boundaries between hip-hop and electronic music in her radio shows at Radioradio and Operator. We are therefore looking forward to her selection during the first set of the evening.
Wantigga
In addition to these two guests, Alter Ego founder Wantigga himself is of course also behind the decks. You know this Deventer DJ/producer from releases on Spotify and Bandcamp and from his tours through Europe and Asia over the past decade. Groove and musicality are the hallmarks of his eclectic sound, making him a fixture both in the Netherlands and far beyond. In Deventer, he started his career as part of the hip-hop collective FATA and organized Borrelnoot together with partner Vieze Vedi. Wantigga returns to the Burgerweeshuis with a danceable mix of cutting percussion, deep wobbles and always with its own productions.
