Burger Business Friends

The Burger Business Friends (BBF) are the members of our business club. Entrepreneurs and companies can enjoy pop and dance music together in this social club while increasing their involvement in the local music scene.

As a member, you get the chance to look behind the scenes at various Dutch music venues and strengthen your network in an informal way.

Furthermore, you help bring (inter)national artists and emerging talent to Burgerweeshuis and support young, local musicians from Deventer.

What does the membership look like?

Three times a year, Burgerweeshuis organizes fun, informative, and social activities. As a BBF member, you also enjoy several privileges, such as free entry to concerts and club nights, discounts on our Burgerweeshuis merchandise, and a quarterly newsletter with updates and pre‑sales.

Pop quiz with dinner & live band

Every September, as a Burger Friend, you can put together a team of up to 4 people with a catchy team name. With your team, you can take part in our pop quiz while enjoying a three-course dinner and a drink. Hosted by Karel Tadema, the quiz is accompanied by an amazing live band in our concert hall. The game is on!

BBF On tour

How cool is it to see all the ins and outs of another music venue? Every year, Burgerweeshuis organizes an exclusive tour of a different venue or festival. We’ll start with a bite to eat backstage, and after the tour, we’ll attend a concert there. Transportation is provided, so you’ll be dropped off back at your favorite venue: Burger.

Annual lunch & drinks

At our annual In Vredes Naam festival, we love raising a glass with our friends and their families to toast to freedom and the opening of the festival. After lunch, you'll receive tokens for drinks, and then you're all set to head into the festival. Cheers!

Criteria & costs

The Burger Business Friends has grown into a vibrant network of loyal and engaged members.

Membership criteria

  • You see Burgerweeshuis as an important institution for pop and dance culture;
  • You have a burning love for pop and/or dance music;
  • You are an entrepreneur or work at a company or organization. Freelancers can also become members.

Membership costs

The annual membership fee for the BBF is €1,500 for businesses. For freelancers, the fee is €1,000 per year. Every member/company is also free to make an additional donation to Burgerweeshuis.

What do you get
in return?

  • Free tickets: up to two per concert or club night at Burgerweeshuis. Tickets can be purchased through your personal Stager account.
  • Access for two people to all exclusive Burger Business Friends events.
  • An annual get‑together followed by a concert or festival visit.
  • Burger Business Popquiz + dinner.
  • BBF On Tour: a guided visit to a festival or pop venue, including a behind‑the‑scenes tour.
  • A fixed annual calendar with all activities.
  • Personalized music and concert tips delivered to your inbox and WhatsApp.
  • Planning a party or reception? Members receive a 25% discount on venue rental. Rental requests can be emailed to pien@burgerweeshuis.nl.
  • Whenever possible, we try to accommodate individual requests from club members. Want to organize a team outing, reception, or product launch? We’ll do our best to make it happen.
  • Your company name will be featured on our website and linked to the special projects you support.
