Axel Flóvent is an Icelandic indie-folk artist who effortlessly combines Nordic melancholy with a warm, hopeful atmosphere with soft, introspective songs.
Raised in a musical family in Húsavík, he made his breakthrough with the song Forest Fires, now worth more than 90 million streams. Inspired by artists like Bon Iver and Adrianne Lenker, Axel creates honest, emotional folk with ambient influences.
After years in Reykjavík, he returned to his hometown, where he is now working on new, personal material for his upcoming EP Fleeing the Shore (April 24, 2026): his first fully self-produced release.
