HEIS x Burger Beurs
HEIS is back with a special edition in collaboration with Burgerweeshuis! Every year, Burgerweeshuis selects three acts to receive a year of coaching through the Burger Beurs. We are hosting these three promising acts at HEIS on November 28th. Get ready for amazing performances by Simcha, Pluk dan, and Nomads Radio.
Simcha - 20:00 - Burnside
The album ‘Grime To Shine’ is the first major achievement from Zutphen-based grime rapper Simcha. This 19-year-old Burger Beurs talent pushes the boundaries of grime with his fast-paced Dutch rap, blending it with influences from a wide range of genres. The album is packed with energy, dark sounds, and collaborations with artists from completely different worlds. Expect hard-hitting beats, powerful storytelling with an innovative sound, and a massive surge of energy that will keep everyone moving.
Pluk dan - 21:00 - Vrijhaven
With alternative Dutch-language pop, Pluk dan immerses you in their philosophical universe. Get grabbed by the collar by intimate lyrics and pushed back by futuristic synths and sharp guitar lines. Every show, the four-piece band twists your brain in new directions while making your body move to the music, strictly adhering to their motto: ‘You only have one last day, don’t let it rot—seize the rest.’
Nomads Radio - 22:00 - Burnside
Nomads Radio creates sunny garage rock as an escape. Not background music, but songs that pull you out of your head and push you back into your body. When the daily grind gets tight, they turn up the volume. Think of the raw, melodic songs of Ty Segall and the untamed energy of Osees, featuring hyper-energetic riffs and lyrics that look innocent but gnaw at deeper themes like anxiety and social pressure. Let yourself be swept away in a storm of raw energy.
Sint Olafstraat
Stroom, Burnside, and Boulderhal Vrijhaven want to bring more life, music, and parties to the Havenkwartier. All three organizations are located on Sint Olafstraat in the Havenkwartier, which brought them together to make this mission a reality.
So what are we waiting for?!
