Van Tastik
Dark blues, raw roots, and a live show that feels like a possessed church service. Van Tastic drags you to the dark side of American blues.
Van Tastik is an American artist who presents himself as 'The Fallen Reverend' or 'Dark Reverend'. His music is described as Dark Delta Blues, blues rock, and Southern Gothic Gospel that feels like a possessed church service.
Van Tastik delivers a steaming, raw sound that resonates with American roots, paired with stories that seem to crawl out from the darkest cracks in the floorboards.
Since 2017, he has been touring with a resonator guitar, among other things, building his live shows around raw music, storytelling, humor, audience interaction, and an almost religious intensity. He compares the atmosphere to a forgotten traveling Pentecostal church service.
