Toontje Lager
After more than thirty years, one of the most popular Dutch-language bands from the early eighties is back on stage. With a new lineup, but still featuring that unmistakable voice of Erik Mesie.
Expect classics like ‘Net als in de Film’, ‘Zoveel te doen’, and ‘Stiekem gedanst’, as well as gems like ‘Vroeg of laat’, ‘Lente in Twente’, ‘In gedachten’, and ‘Het doet pijn’. And yes, Mesie’s solo hit ‘Zonder jou’ will also be featured.
Toontje Lager proves they aren't just looking back with their album Waar gaan we heen, featuring fifteen new tracks in that familiar Toontje Lager sound. Live, the old and new are woven together with the stories behind the songs, told by Erik with plenty of humor.
For everyone who was there and everyone who wasn't even born yet. Dutch pop music to sing along to at the top of your lungs, to dance to (secretly), and to rediscover.
