Laura Veirs
American singer-songwriter Laura Veirs is known for her folk and alternative country records. Following her collaboration with Neko Case and k.d. lang, her solo work is gaining increasing attention.
Laura Veirs is well and truly back with 'Temple Songs', her first album in four years. An intimate, dreamy record that she wrote, played, recorded, arranged, and produced almost entirely by herself in the small studio in her Portland backyard. Using only two microphones and a laptop, she keeps the music intentionally organic and human.
The album was named Album of the Week by VPRO 3voor12 in August!
Temple Songs is a subdued, personal record full of beauty, space, and fragile vocals. Highly recommended for fans of Laura Marling and Sufjan Stevens.
