Laura Veirs
Laura Veirs, an American singer-songwriter, is known for her folk and alternative country records. Following her collaboration with Neko Case and k.d. lang, her solo work is receiving increasing attention.
Laura Veirs is well and truly back with 'Temple Songs', her first album in four years. An intimate, dreamy record that she wrote, performed, recorded, arranged, and produced almost entirely by herself in her small backyard studio in Portland. Using only two microphones and a laptop, she keeps the music intentionally organic and human.
The album was named Album of the Week by VPRO 3voor12 in August!
Temple Songs is an understated, personal record full of beauty, space, and fragile vocals. Highly recommended for fans of Laura Marling and Sufjan Stevens.
