Gruppo Sportivo
Gruppo Sportivo will be around half a century in 2026. It is also the year where the band, originally from The Hague, takes a final tour of the pop halls and festivals.
In addition to the characteristic frontman and creative force Vandenburg, the line-up includes singers Lies Schilp & Inge Bonthond aka Bombitas. The keyboard player is the young talent Len de Quant, who took over from his proud teacher and who died prematurely in 2024. Of course, former member and drummer Max Mollinger and bassist Tim Barning are back again.
Hey Girl, Beep Beep Love, Disco Really Made It, Tokyo and Rock 'n Roll are some of the Dutch pop classics we can expect. But knowing Gruppo Sportivo, the legendary band will also make a number of quirky choices from the extensive repertoire.
