Deventer Talenthouse Next-Gen
Have you learned a lot about your passion for music and would you love to pass that on to new, up-and-coming musicians?
In this program, we provide you with the tools to get started as a workshop leader. For Deventer Talenthouse and other educational projects within Burgerweeshuis, we are regularly looking for young, emerging coaches in the fields of rap, songwriting, production, and jamming. Because we notice a lot of demand and enthusiasm, but sometimes a lack of specific skills, Burgerweeshuis is organizing Deventer Talenthouse Next-Gen together with Raster on Sunday, November 10, Deventer Talenthouse Next-Gen.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
How do you structure a workshop effectively and ensure your participants engage and join in? During a masterclass by Toos Ligtenberg, you will learn everything about sensing and activating your target audience and receive various teaching methods. Afterward, Philip van Vorstenbosch will help you create a solid narrative and structure for your own workshop from start to finish. In short: everything you need to make yourself and your workshop a success! In addition to a day full of knowledge, assignments, and inspiration, you will also have the opportunity to test your self-developed workshop in front of a group.
COACHES
Toos Ligtenberg is an experienced titan in the cultural sector. A professional with all-round experience both on stage and in the classroom in theater, music, and storytelling. She knows how to get people moving, from the youngest to the oldest. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, shares teaching methods, and teaches you how to make a workshop a success.
Philip Vorstenbosch, a.k.a. Pivo, has been giving workshops for 20 years and never stops creating. His experience in the world of education gives him that extra insight into how to structure your workshop effectively. He will personally help participants set up their workshops from start to finish and prepare them for the real deal. And he does it with a fresh style that always includes the necessary humor. Learning while having fun!

FOR WHOM
- You have had experience as a rapper, producer, vocalist, or musician for some time.
- You have the ambition to give workshops to groups in or out of school.
- You can and want to invest one and a half days in your development as a workshop instructor.
- You are between 20 and 40 years old.
- You live in Deventer (or the surrounding area), or have another relevant link to Deventer.
FOLLOW-UP
When you participate in this day, we also offer you the opportunity to perform your developed workshop for a group. You will go home with feedback on your workshop and receive a small fee for the time involved.
