ESNS 2025 bands at Burgerweeshuis
Last weekend, Groningen was bursting with musical talent during the ESNS festival. You can catch some of the highlights at the Burgerweeshuis in the coming months.
Astronaut and Hiigo
Astronaut landed at number 12 in the 3voor12 Top 25 of Noorderslag. According to 3voor12, this band is: 'Spinvis in a more modern, funnier jacket, and also the little brother of Lucky Fonz'.
Hiigo from Zwolle also received a great review from 3voor12: 'At Noorderslag today, Hiigo shows that you can go a long way with sincere and strong songs about vulnerability and friendship'. Judge for yourself, as both bands will be on March 20 at the Burger stage.
COLLIGNON and Cavalo Nero
COLLIGNON and psychedelic groove band Cavalo Nero played at various locations in Groningen, but will be performing March 6 with a double show at the Burgerweeshuis.
COLLIGNON is the musical project of Jori Collignon, who previously toured the world as part of C-Mon & Kypski, Skip & Die, and Nobody Beats The Drum.
He now plays with a full band, featuring Gino Bombrini (Komodo) on drums and percussion and Yves Lennertz (Yin Yin) on guitar. The result is seriously energetic, uptempo music.
Milolaathetlukken
Finally, there is Milolaathetlukken, who easily packed out the basement at De Oosterpoort. With his stylish hip-hop tracks over American drill beats (covering topics like designer clothes, women, and success), he is going places. According to 3voor12: 'milolaathetlukken lives up to his name, and with more stage experience, it will only get better'. That works out well, because on February 14 he will be at the Burger, along with Mensa and ADF Antje. For a friendly price of just €7.50, including a fashion show.
