Last weekend, Groningen was bursting with musical talent at the ESNS festival. You can see some of the top players in the Civic Orphanage in the near future.

Astronaut and Hiigo

This is how Astronaut ended up at number 12 in Noorderslag's 3for12 Top 25. According to 3voor12, this band is: “Spinvis in a more modern, funnier way and also Lucky Fonz's brother”.

Hiigo from Zwolle also received a nice rating of 3voor12: 'Hiigo shows at Noorderslag today that you can go a long way with sincere and strong songs about vulnerability and friendship'. Judge for yourself, because both bands are up March 20 on the Burgerpodium.

COLLIGNON and Cavalo Nero

COLLIGNON and psychedelic groove band Cavalo Nero played at various locations in Groningen, but stand still. March 6 with a double show at the Burgerweeshuis.

COLLIGNON is the musical project of Jori Collignon, who has previously toured the world as part of C-Mon & Kypski, Skip & Die and Nobody Beats The Drum.

He now plays with a full-fledged band with Gino Bombrini (Komodo) on drums and percussion and Yves Lennertz (Yin Yin) on guitar. The result is seriously energetic, uptempo music.

Molo makes it work

Finally, Milo managed to fill up the basement in the Oosterpoort with ease. With his stylish hip-hop tracks on American drill beats (with topics: designer clothes, women and success), he knows how to go far. According to 3voor12: 'milo makes it work lives up to its name, and with more stage experience, it will only get better'. Does that work out just as well, because February 14 he is in the Burger, with Mensa and ADF Antje. For a friend price of only €7.50, including a fashion show.
