This year's participants
FAMKE
FAMKE makes Dutch-language Rockpop, offers a home for people with thick skin but a soft heart, and feels like the musical love child of Thom Yorke and Billie Eilish. Live, FAMKE is a five-piece band that creates an intimacy where vulnerability is a beautiful thing. Musical inspirations include Björk, Radiohead, and Fiona Apple.
Together with Burgerweeshuis, FAMKE and her band will be working on developing their live show and recording and releasing their debut EP this year. It will be presented on October 31 at their release show in Burgerweeshuis.

Levi Major
Indie pop-folk songwriter Levi Major sings about turbulent topics accompanied by warm spatial sounds and a sea of backing vocals inspired by artists such as Sufjan Stevens, The Japanese House and Nick Drake.
In October 2023, he released his debut EP 'Meet Me At Dawn'. After the warm and enthusiastic reception of the first EP, Levi will work with Burgerweeshuis on the second EP with the aim of releasing it in early 2025.

Reality Spill
Reality Spill is a young metalcore band from Deventer. They have already completed their first EP and shows in, among others, AFAS Live and a UK tour.
In 2024, they will work with the Burger Beurs on their debut EP, production of their live show and to fine-tune their marketing plans. This is with the aim of further developing and putting their band on the map (inter) nationally.

Citizen Fair 2023
Last year, blues rock band Wildman, Dutch-language electronic pop band Droom Dit, and lofi indie pop act From//October received the Burger Beurs.
The Burger Beurs is an initiative by the Burgerweeshuis music venue and is made possible in part by the Province of Overijssel.
Previous artists who received the Burger Beurs include Snelle, De Sluwe Vos, Pjotr, Boogie Monster, Vera Bon, Bastian Benjamin and Babs.
