Des Konings Fest

Every year on April 27 we get to play outside again for the first time of the year: we celebrate spring, the start of the festival season, and raise a toast to the king in our beautiful courtyard garden.

Des Konings Fest is Burgerweeshuis's longest-running festival! For more than 20 years, we've been celebrating King's Day with a killer line-up of live bands. It's also a party in the schoolyard across the street: a bouncy castle, a terrace, food trucks and... cold beer. Just like In Peace Name, this festival is free.

Des Konings Fest

The next Des Konings Fest is on Monday, April 27. For this edition, you can also expect another nice series of raw and edgy bands in the genre of rock, country, bluegrass and americana. From 14:00, everyone is welcome back in the garden.

In Vredes Naam

Celebrate freedom with us on May 5 in our courtyard garden. At the energetic festival of freedom 'In Vredes Naam' you can go full throttle: on two stages you can enjoy a mix of emerging talent and established bands. Expect garage rock, psychedelic, post-punk, shoegaze, and indie all over the place.

Garden Concerts

Every weekend in June, you can visit our courtyard garden for the annual Garden Concerts. On Fridays and Saturdays, national and international artists take the outdoor stage, performing in a unique and intimate setting. In short, for the ultimate festival experience, you come to the Garden Concerts.
