On May 5, the Burgerweeshuis will be bursting at the seams once again for In Vredes Naam: the alternative and free liberation festival where freedom is not just celebrated, but felt.

With 8 bands, two stages (garden & concert hall), and a raw, energetic atmosphere, you’ll immerse yourself in garage rock, punk, indie, shoegaze, hip-hop, and electronic crossovers.

‍

This isn't your typical polite liberation festival; it’s a place where you’ll stand up close to the artists, feel the bass thumping through your body, and head home with mud behind your ears.

‍

In Vredes Naam is made for the curious music lover who appreciates the authentic, the innovative, and the slightly rebellious. Music, connection, and social reflection come together here in an alternative celebration of freedom.

‍

Sharper, grittier, and more urgent than ever: celebrate and feel freedom at In Vredes Naam.

‍Free, intense, and anything but mainstream. Don't miss it!

Line Up

‍

Snapped Ankles

This mysterious post-punk band from London performs in camouflage-style outfits using bizarre, homemade wooden instruments to create what they call 'agrocultural-punktronica.' The Snapped Ankles live act borders on performance art, complete with a visual spectacle and theatrical flair. On their latest album, 'Forest Of Your Problems,' the band members blend their signature krautrock and post-punk influences with hypnotic electronic rhythms and industrial sounds.

‍

Iguana Death Cult

The Rotterdam-based quintet Iguana Death Cult initially made a name for themselves with dizzying, hard-hitting garage rock and acid-drenched psychedelia, before evolving into a multifaceted band that incorporates elements of post-punk, krautrock, new wave, soul, and disco into their music. Hypnotic surf melodies and fuzz sounds fuel swirling mosh pits and inexhaustible energy.

‍

‍

Parker Fans

Parker Fans is a high-octane love triangle: a fuzzy boogie-bromance that gives genres a fresh face with a cheerful style-shuffle. From gabber-house flirts to hip-hop hoedowns and breakbeat bonanzas, this Dutch trio has a flawless talent for unleashing unexpected chaos—the exuberant kind, preferably. Fully aware of the pointlessness of having too much fun, Parker Fans dive right in, creating a stir and unstoppable energy wherever they go.

‍

‍

‍Keenan Mundane

Keenan Mundane tells his story through gritty hip-hop beats, soulful lo-fi instrumentals, and revealing lyrics. Armed with nothing more than a microphone and a sampler, and drawing influence from artists like JPEGMAFIA, Earl Sweatshirt, and MF DOOM, he offers a fresh take on the raw sounds of the UK and the US. His energetic mix and rapid-fire delivery make every live show an explosive experience.

‍

‍

SOAPBOX

SOAPBOX is the rebellious voice of Glasgow’s punk underground. Loud, unapologetic, and fiercely independent, the band has built a reputation for electrifying live shows, sold-out headline gigs, and anthems that challenge the status quo. They are ready to set festival stages ablaze with their relentless energy and no-nonsense punk ethos.

‍

‍

‍C’est Qui?

C’est Qui? A groovy, garage, glamorous, filthy, raw punk band. It’s as if they escaped from ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,’ it feels like being hit in the face by a 10-ton truck, and it smells like red patent pumps fresh out of the box. C’est Qui? turns everything inside out.

‍

KRAM

KRAM is an alternative rock band known for their intense live energy, heavy guitars, and explosive anthems. According to 3voor12, they are "a group of musicians who manage to deliver a powerful performance with protest songs, Irish bravado, and solid riffs."

‍

‍

L. A. SAGNE

Hard-hitting, energetic garage punk from Amsterdam. 2025 was a great year for the band, featuring shows at Noorderslag, Best Kept Secret, Paaspop, WildeWeide, and Wildeburg, as well as tours with the collective Girls To The Front and the band Ploegendienst. It’s high time for their debut album, arriving in April 2026. Expect an all-out mosh pit at IVN.
