Burger celebrates Talent
At the beginning of 2024, we kicked off our 40th anniversary with a festive opening in the main hall. May was dedicated to Club Nights, and June featured a wonderful series of concerts in the garden. In addition to our club nights and concerts, talent development is a crucial part of Burgerweeshuis's program. Therefore, in this anniversary year, we definitely want to celebrate all talents and those involved.
Burger Celebrates Talent
For years, emerging artists have been supported under the banner of the Burger Beurs, allowing them to develop their musical careers. Burgerweeshuis also provides space for discovery, experimentation, and networking, for example, within the New Deventer Collective and Deventer Talenthouse (in collaboration with Raster Welzijn).
Furthermore, we offer a stage to regional and local acts within SPEELDRANG, and bands and producers have been able to use our rehearsal basement and the Burgerstudio for years. We are incredibly proud that over the past years, we have been able to contribute to the development of so many young talents and have been instrumental in the rise of successful artists such as Snelle, de Sluwe Vos, and Babs!
Tonight, old and new, unknown and well-known talents will perform, some of whom have since built brilliant careers in the music industry.
Additionally, we will present our new videos about the talent development programs, and there will be an opportunity to chat and reminisce!
