New album from De Sluwe Vos

"Warm as a blanket from Chicago and as mature as the best house records from West London. No, that forced sobriety is exactly what ensures De Sluwe Vos gets the best out of his machines" - Oor, July 5, 2024.

‍

This is what Oor writes about the new album 'Now I Understand', released on July 5th. The solo album was recorded using only 2 synths and a drum machine; it is a collection of introverted tracks, released on the Awesome Soundwave label by none other than Carl Cox.

‍

Also DJ Mag is enthusiastic and writes about the album:

‍

"On Now I Understand, we hear that De Sluwe Vos is in a good place and dares to be more personal in his compositions."

‍

Robert recorded the album in his studio in Deventer, where he felt more peace, balance, and freedom. He says about this in the article:

‍

"These tracks also represent a time when I started to trust myself and my intuition more. It is therefore an ode to the people around me and to my city.”
