Popronde 2025
On 1 May, the 100 acts participating in this year's Pop Round were announced.
More than 1000 acts have been in suspense over the past few months: are we among them? Will we participate in the Pop Round next year?! Can we take the next step in our career? A dream came true for Burger Beurs acts Badminton and FAMKE (2024). They are there and participate in this touring music festival that takes place every autumn from mid-September to the end of November.
De Popronde offers (still) unknown acts the opportunity to present themselves outside their own region and gain intensive touring and playing experience.
In 2024, FAMKE participated in the Burger Beurs, Burgerweeshuis's talent development process. She makes Dutch-language rock pop, which offers a home for people with thick skin but a soft heart. At the end of October, the release was her debut EP 'I want to fall and never stand again' in a well-filled Civic Orphanage.
Badminton is a Burger Beurs act this year and these four mourners are making music to mosh on, spill beer and wring out your old Ramones tee. At the liberation festival In Peace Name, they were the opening act in the Citizen Orphanage last Monday and that definitely tastes like more.
Overijssel in Pop Round 2025
Overijssel is well represented again this year because, in addition to Badminton and FAMKE, Baba Pen & The Bim Bam Band, Helen Jewett, ILÆNDER, LOE., Luke Christoffel & The Golden Tears and Syot were also selected.
