New Deventer Collective (NDC) is a platform for young talent from Deventer. It's an open and safe space where you can exchange knowledge and experience with others, both artistically and professionally. Within NDC, you can expand your network, collaborate with other creative makers, and gain stage experience.
Every year, 8 master classes take place at NDC where various professionals from the creative sector are invited. Think about topics such as songwriting, stage performance, producing or artist branding. Examples of guest lecturers who have stopped by: Snelle, Wantigga, Froukje, Ivo Statinski and the Sly Fox.
Every year, the annual NDC showcase takes place. During the showcase, several members of NDC will have the opportunity to present their new work to a large audience. The evening takes place in the main hall of the Civic Orphanage and is publicly accessible.
A quarterly meeting takes place at Burgerweeshuis, with the aim of reviewing ongoing projects and introducing new members to each other in the coming year. In addition, different activities take place during each meeting. Think of an open brainstorm, jam session, listening session, beat battle or workshop. The meetings offer members the opportunity to exchange their knowledge and experiences, work together and try out new ideas in an informal environment.
The Writers' Day is an NDC initiative to stimulate creativity and collaboration between members. The day is about musical expression, pushing boundaries and entering into new collaborations. Together with a coach, the members will spend a day creating their own song in groups.
And, last but not least, as an NDC member, you can use the Burgerstudio in the basement of Burgerweeshuis. Here you can write and record music undisturbed.
