Once again this year in June, the atmospheric courtyard of the Burgerweeshuis is the setting for a multi-faceted series of garden concerts where sparks fly. The special setting provides a special vibe time and time again.

MEROL burst into pop music with Lekker Met De Meiden in 2018 and has been unstoppable ever since. With her cheeky, stubborn Dutch-language electro-pop, she fillets the zeitgeist: sex, feminism and everything around it, wrapped in irresistible synth pop. Her shows are energetic, shameless and sing-along, with hits like Hou Je Bek and Bef Me. She played down major festivals such as Lowlands, Pukkelpop and Rock Werchter and built up a rock-solid fan base.
Her album “To the Sharks & Back Again” was applauded and in 2025, a dream came true with her own musical film Deep in the Night. No wonder OOR christened her “the Lady Gaga of the Low Countries”.
