Daniel Romano's Outfit // Carson McHone
Daniel Romano's Outfit is a Canadian indie rock band known for their immersive and intense live shows.
Led by Daniel Romano, the band has released several albums over the years. Last March, they released the album Too Hot To Sleep. This record features a collection of fast-paced, harmony-filled rock songs that perfectly showcase the band's capabilities.
In addition to Daniel Romano, the band consists of Carson McHone, Tommy Major, Ian Ski Romano, and their engineer, Kenneth Roy Meehan. In recent years, they have performed at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Azkena Rock Fest, End of the Road, and Roskilde.
Daniel Romano is a musical polymath who is active across every genre. From his own country work to a rock 'n' roll masterclass with the album ‘Cobra Poems’ and the question posed on ‘Do (What Could Have Been) Infidels’: what if Dylan went punk? With every release, the band continues to defy genre boundaries.
Carson McHone
Carson McHone is a songwriter from Austin, Texas, now based in Southern Ontario. McHone's country-rock album Carousel was released in 2018 and was a reworking of songs from her youth spent playing in bars. It established her as an artist who uses language to pose unconventional questions. Rolling Stone Magazine named the album one of the “40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2018.”
In 2022, she released the album Still Life, followed by an extensive tour where she performed both solo and with Daniel Romano's band, the Outfit.
McHone's next full-length record is expected in the fall of 2025.
