Fresku

In the years that followed, he released several albums, two of which were voted best album at the State Awards. In 2021, Fresku parted ways with Top Notch to continue as an independent artist. His work was once again met with critical acclaim, and in 2022, he served as an Ambassador of Freedom in the Netherlands.

‍

On October 20, 2024, his album ‘Leren Leven’ will be released, featuring 30 new tracks. In it, Fresku looks both around him and within. He provides a counter-narrative, encouraging listeners to think critically about society. At the same time, he is critical of himself, openly sharing the thoughts that stifle him. No subject is left untouched on this record. He explores the value of friendships and beautiful moments, a lack of self-love while diving into the deep end for others, and the progress that can be made when you feel better in your own skin. Only when you take off your mask can you truly see one another.
