Meetsysteem is the alter ego of Amsterdam-based singer-songwriter Ricky Cherim. With his unique blend of nightclub vibes and pop culture, he manages to make ravers cry and introverts dance. Although he sings in Dutch, his music effortlessly transcends language barriers.
In recent years, he was part of the indie dance group comforter2. Following this detour, he finally returns to the Meetsysteem era in 2025 with a third album titled 'Gekleed in Donker, Ze vroegen niks meer'.
Cherim's ambient pop is characterized by krautrock-like undertones and sincere atmospheres, resulting in a dreamy and charming form of Dutch pop.

Dorpsstraat 3 creates idiosyncratic music that balances between post-punk and synthwave, while also drawing influences from unexpected corners of the world and time. It all began in a dusty basement of an old rectory at Dorpsstraat 3, where friends discovered a room filled with analog synths, rhythm boxes, and mysterious records. Inspired by the music of artists like Grauzone, Kraftwerk, and Erkin Koray, as well as the building itself, they wrote their first song.
