Spinvis
Once again this June, the atmospheric courtyard of Poppodium Burgerweeshuis will serve as the backdrop for a versatile series of garden concerts that are sure to spark excitement.
Over the past twenty-five years, Erik de Jong, alias Spinvis, has become one of the most idiosyncratic and versatile artists in the Dutch pop landscape.
Spinvis never stands still; there is always something new on the horizon. Creativity finds a way, even where it seems impossible.
There has always been a world of difference between how Spinvis's songs sound on record and how they are performed live. A good song can take on any shape and evolve over time. In that sense, a song is never truly finished.
In 2025, the Spinvis band will continue exploring new paths. Sometimes getting lost, often finding their way. More acoustic, more vocals. They don't even know exactly what it will be yet. Sometimes it suddenly sounds like a kind of electro-folk. The time must be right for it.
Whatever you call it, they are incredibly excited to hit the road with their motley circus!
