The Undertones
The Undertones are coming to the Netherlands for the 45th anniversary tour of their album 'Hypnotised'.
“Hypnotised” was released on April 21, 1980, and is the second album by The Undertones. The album reached number 6 on the UK Albums Chart, making it their highest-charting release.
It was a commercial and critical success, highly praised for its catchy melodies and youthful energy. Even though years have passed since its release, the album has lost none of its impact and energy. From the humor of “My Perfect Cousin” to the more mellow, pop-oriented style of “Wednesday Week”.
Hailing from Northern Ireland, The Undertones are one of the most influential pop-punk bands in music history. They broke through in the late seventies with songs like ‘Teenage Kicks’, ‘Get Over You’, and ‘Jimmy Jimmy’. Their debut single, ‘Teenage Kicks’, became a massive hit thanks to English radio DJ John Peel.

Their music sounds like a song you’ve always known but can’t quite place. It will remind you of IDLES, The Strokes, and Shame. Chaotic energy fueled by guitars and irresistible hooks; every song grabs you by the throat and makes you sing along.
