Between Christmas and New Year's, there's always that daunting void. You've already kissed your grandma, set your tabletop grill ablaze, and half-pickled your brain with alcohol. And then… nothing. UNTIL NOW. Burgerweeshuis presents: the 4th CHRISTMAS BALL.

A filthy, grimy, greasy racket on a dead day. Loud guitars, screaming vocals, everything mixed together. Punk, rock, noise, interspersed with the sickest disco and funk. No bullshit. No breaks. Just go for it.

We'll start early and crash early: 14:00 in the pit and home by 20:00 with ringing in your ears and a shirt stiff with beer.

Celebrate the CHRISTMAS BALL, the one true reason to see your friends hungover one last time before the new year begins.
And speaking of friends; grab a group ticket and eight people can get in with a hefty discount.

Smudged

Risen from the primordial sludge of the Rotterdam club scene, Smudged drags you into a wild mix of krautrock, noise punk, electronic pop, and techno. Their live shows are a chaotic work of art in themselves: unpredictable, absurd, and always in motion.

With singles like the Death Grips-esque “Upside Down / Inside Out,” the melancholic post-punk banger “Stupid,” and fan favorite “Hypnotized,” Smudged proves they can masterfully balance camp and creativity. Their 2022 and 2023 EPs further developed that explosive sound.

In September 2024, the single The Ball / PPSD (Post-Punk Stress Disorder) was released on Paradiso's vinyl label.

Full throttle and without brakes, their shows have become legendary; an insane rollercoaster that leaves you both confused and euphoric.

Badminton

These four roughnecks make music to mosh to, to spill beer on, and to wring out your old Ramones tee.

Luca de la Haye's vocals are reminiscent of Liam Gallagher, but the band builds a unique sound around it with a hard-hitting drummer, a bassist who provides the essential punch and drive, and guitarists who stomp on their fuzz and distortion pedals as if they're cheerfully blasting up the A35 on a tandem bike.

In 2025, the band received support through the Burger Beurs and went into the studio to record their second EP.

Space Age DJ Collective

Between performances, enjoy the grooviest tracks from Puck and Dylan. Their musical journey began with a love for classic disco and funk. Since then, they've been spinning at cool disco parties, festivals, club shows, and more, both domestically and internationally. Each DJ set is unique and curated on the spot, so you never know where the groove will take you.
