Between Christmas and New Year's, there's always that terrifying void. You've already kissed your grandma, set your gourmet grill on fire, and washed your brain half away with alcohol. And then… nothing. UNTIL NOW. Burgerweeshuis presents: 4th KERSTBAL.
A dirty, gritty, greasy heap of noise on a dead day. Loud guitars, screaming vocals, everything mixed together. Punk, rock, noise, interspersed with the sickest disco and funk. No nonsense. No downtime. Just go.
We’re starting early and burning out early: 2:00 PM in the pit and home by 8:00 PM with a ringing in your ears and a shirt stiff with beer.

Smudged
Resurrected from the primordial sludge of the Rotterdam club scene, Smudged drags you into a wild mix of krautrock, noise punk, electronic pop, and techno. Their live shows are a chaotic work of art in themselves: unpredictable, absurd, and always in motion.
With singles like the Death Grips-esque “Upside Down / Inside Out,” the moody post-punk banger “Stupid,” and crowd favorite “Hypnotized,” Smudged proves they can brilliantly balance camp and creativity. Their 2022 and 2023 EPs expanded that explosive sound even further.
In September 2024, the single The Ball / PPSD (Post-Punk Stress Disorder) was released on the Paradiso vinyl label.
Full throttle and without brakes, their shows have become legendary; a crazy rollercoaster that leaves you confused and euphoric.
The Grand East
The Grand East has been touring Europe for a few years now. Their uniquely energetic rock, rooted in music from the 60s and 70s, has taken them to festivals and stages throughout Spain, Germany, and the Netherlands. Their live shows are unique and hugely entertaining, featuring an ecstatic lead singer who doesn't stop until the entire audience is under his command and dancing in a puddle of his own sweat.
Live, the band has amplified and blown up their party side even more. Resulting in a sweating audience, mosh pits, and crowd surfers. Less The Doors, more King Gizzard.
Badminton
These four ruffians make music to mosh to, to spill beer on, and to wring out your old Ramones tee to.
Het stemgeluid van Luca de la Haye doet denken aan Liam Gallagher maar de band bouwt er een unieke sound omheen met een drummer die je om de oren slaat, een bassiste die zorgt voor de nodige lading poes en beuk en gitaristen die op hun fuzz- en distortionpedalen trappen alsof ze vrolijk met de tandem de A35 op knallen.
In 2025 wordt de band ondersteund via de Burger Beurs en gingen ze de studio in voor het opnemen van hun 2e EP.
Space Age DJ Collective
Tussen de optredens lekker genieten van de meest groovy platen van Puck en Dylan. Vanuit een liefde voor klassieke disco en funk begonnen zij hun muzikale reis. Sindsdien draaien ze op toffe discofeesten, festivals, clubshows en meer in binnen- en buitenland. Elke dj-set is uniek en ter plekke samengesteld dus je weet nooit waar de groove je mee naartoe neemt.
