Des Konings Fest

With a nice mix of rock, blues, roots, country and lots of fun on stage and in the historic courtyard. The lineup consists of bands from the Netherlands, Belgium and the USA.

Loyal visitors to the Des Konings Fest know that the Burgertuin is 'the place to be' on King's Day, but people who are looking for an alternative party and love roots, blues and country should also check out.

The schoolyard opposite the Citizen Orphanage will also be involved in the festival. With a nice terrace for a snack and a drink and plenty of space for the youngest festival-goers.

Boogie Beasts

Boogie Beasts is a Belgian alternative blues band from Limburg and Liège. The band was formed in 2011 and mixes blues and boogie with rock and garage rock. Expect dirty beats, mesmerizing slide, howling harmonica and fuzz — lots of fuzz.

La Ratte

La Ratte is a Dutch/German trio with fierce swamp blues, quirky, unpolished and muddy. They put on a rough show that is deeply rooted in American roots music.

Mambo Sun

What do you get when you put members of, The Grand East, Cloudsurfers and Stones Sessions together? Mambo Sun! : a band that sounds like a bell. Danceable, exciting and never boring. This five-piece rock formation serves fresh, raw rock and roll with a flamboyant, vintage nod to the 70s, without ever getting into retro.

The Bird Experience

Mees Vullings, famous for Heath, launches his solo project The Bird Experience: a raw mix of rhythm and blues, blues rock and psychedelia. With harmonica, wind instruments and gospel singing, he brings intense, energetic and experimental sound. The upcoming debut album promises a bold, versatile and limitlessly expressive musical experience.

Charlie Parr

Charlie Parr is an American country blues musician. A large part of American folk, blues and country history is hidden in his raw voice. Parr therefore has pioneers such as Bukka White, Mississippi John Hurt and Charlie Patton as influences.
