Paceshifters have always written their music from a live perspective, but for their new album 'Out-and-Outer', they decided to take the exact opposite approach.

A bold choice for a band that has been working hard for over fifteen years and built their fanbase precisely through their live shows. That reputation has taken them to venues and festivals like Pinkpop, Zwarte Cross, Groezrock, SXSW, and shows in the UK, Poland, Canada, Germany, and Serbia.

The sound on the new album has stadium rock allure, while also flirting with shoegaze and post-punk. The songs touch on human suffering, both small and large. These are universal themes that everyone encounters in life, whether directly or indirectly.

It is said that change is the only constant in life, and on 'Out-and-Outer', Paceshifters have captured that transience in a collection of sincere, heartfelt songs that, despite the production choices, still explode off the stage live.

'Out-and-Outer' will be released on September 13, 2024, via Excelsior Recordings.

As an extra treat, Paceshifters participated in the first edition of the Burger Beurs in 2010. It’s always a pleasure to see them back on our stage.

After some hard rock years as the frontman of Wallace Vanborn, Ian makes time for tenderness and observation in his solo project. He creates a space where light and dark capture the imagination. With a deep, intimate voice, he shares his soul.

His long-awaited third album, 'Skeleton Games', is a collaboration with Koen Gisen (The Bony King Of Nowhere, Dans Dans) and will be unleashed on the world in the spring of 2025.
