YĪN YĪN
Psych rockers YĪN YĪN are on top of the world with 'Mount Matsu', their third album and the first to be created by all members of the band.
With a variety of moods and styles, this album is an ode to Japan. From psychedelic disco sounds and heavy Japanese funk to electronica and tribal beats. A dream of a follow-up to their previous albums, it once again confirms that YĪN YĪN is evolving in their own unique way on their musical journey around the world.
Hailing from Maastricht, the group released a debut album in 2019 with Thai psych-rock influences. YĪN YĪN is about exploring the potential of psychedelic, danceable Southeast Asian music from the 60s and 70s. They blend disco, funk, and electro from all over the world into a unique, mostly instrumental genre.
