Popronde Deventer
Every autumn, this traveling festival makes its way across the Netherlands, serving as a launchpad for promising Dutch musical talent. In cities throughout the country, you can enjoy a diverse range of bands and artists performing in various venues, from music clubs and cafés to art galleries and more...
IGOR (9:30 PM – 10:15 PM)
The 25-year-old producer, singer, and rapper Igor creates a sound that is entirely unique within the Dutch music scene. In his studio, hip-hop, jazz, classical, soul, and electronic music collide to create something surprising. Live, he transforms his tracks into an energetic show using a compact setup, drawing inspiration from the likes of Lander & Adriaan and Domi & JD Beck.
Eyesores (11:00 PM – 11:45 PM)
You usually want to look away from an eyesore, but this band stays etched in your mind. Not because they are pretty, but because they are abrasive. Eyesores holds up a mirror that you’ll want to shatter. This urge for confrontation translates into fast-paced garage punk tracks that feel like they’ve been doused in gasoline and set on fire.
De Plaag (12:30 AM – 1:15 AM)
At first glance, the Dutch electro-punk band De Plaag looks like a swingers party gone wrong. Poetic with a gritty edge, cheeky where possible, and sensitive where it counts. It’s raw, unadulterated chaos in the dark—De Plaag bares it all. A show by De Plaag sticks to your memory like a hickey on your neck.
